The keyboard is intact with no cracks or missing pieces and keys are level. The rear screen is original and has two holes where curious fingers punched through. The front grill cloth has small rips but hard to see. Final tuning occurs in situ with the reedblocks inside the case.Īs the photos show, the plastic grill is in good shape with no breaks. All reedplates were removed, cleaned, coarse tuned in a fixture then rewaxed onto the reed blocks. The original leather one way valves were all removed and replaced with modern plastic one way valves for long trouble free life. The large bass reeds have the ‘T’ marking. The treble, & chord zinc reed plates have the ‘H’ marking. It has 15 white keys, 10 black keys and 12 bass buttons. The original bellows are decent but do show signs of slight wear on the tape from use where the instrument rests on your knee. Often the corner decorations are missing. The white pearloid covered wood case is in very good shape with slight wear and no missing trim pieces. It weighs only 9 pounds so delightful to hold and play compared to standard size piano accordions weighing in at 15 or 20 or more pounds.
